As the Lead Behavioral Health Technician, you’ll combine hands-on client support with shift leadership responsibilities within Recovery Services. You’ll guide and support Behavioral Health Technicians, coordinate daily client activities, communicate with the treatment team, assist with crisis de-escalation, monitor clients receiving detoxification services, and help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment focused on recovery. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field; OR High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment history.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle.
• Must be at least 23 years of age to operate a company-owned 15-passenger van.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead Behavioral Health Technicians during assigned shifts, providing guidance, direction, and support while helping create a positive team environment.
• Support clients throughout their recovery journey by overseeing daily activities and maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate with the treatment team by communicating important client behaviors, concerns, progress, and recovery needs.
• Monitor and screen clients receiving detoxification services to help ensure their safety and recovery needs are addressed.
• Assist clients with orientation to services, including education about client rights and program expectations.
• Support crisis de-escalation efforts under the direction of supervisory staff.
• Train and support Behavioral Health Technicians and facilitate team meetings as scheduled.
• Prepare or assist with educational materials used for client groups and programming.
• Document client behaviors and progress accurately and within required timeframes.
• Provide transportation to clients as needed.
• Serve as the lead Behavioral Health Technician on your shift, providing guidance, direction, and support to team members
• Oversee daily client activities to ensure safety, structure, and adherence to program expectations
• Communicate relevant client behaviors, concerns, and progress to the treatment team
• Assist with client orientation, including education on client rights and program rules
• Support crisis de-escalation efforts under the direction of supervisory staff
• Complete accurate and timely documentation related to client behavior and progress
• Monitor and screen detoxification clients to ensure safety and recovery needs are met
• Provide client transportation as needed
• Assist in training and supervising Behavioral Health Technicians
• Facilitate Behavioral Health Technician meetings as scheduled
• Prepare or assist with group education materials
• Complete all required trainings within established timeframes
