About The Position

The Lead Behavioral Health supports clients in their daily living activities while also welcoming and orienting new residents, accompanying them to appointments, and ensuring proper documentation of important information. Responsibilities also include managing resources, training staff, addressing issues, and collaborating with the client and treatment team.

  • Ability to navigate the unit computer, check emails, document reports into Carelogic, clock in and out for meals, perform daily scanning, and complete.
  • Complete assigned online learning and training by due dates.
  • Ability to communicate accurate information to the manager and other staff.

  • Demonstrate reliable attendance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 Year of leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Welcome new residents to their assigned unit, providing unit orientation, reviewing the resident handbook, smoke/phone schedule, and ensuring that resident questions are answered in a compassionate, thorough manner.
  • Enter memo into resident Carelogic chart, addressing relayed information to BHT staff to ensure all shifts/BHTs are aware.
  • Ensure each unit has adequate linens available.
  • Train and shadow new BHT staff.
  • Monitor the resident’s self-administering medication.
  • Complete weekend vitals and SOWS with withdrawal management residents by 8:00 am.
  • First contact to address client/BHT problems in the unit.
  • Complete work timely and accurately.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrates effective and respectful communication with peers, residents, and managers.
  • Contributes to unit performance activities.
  • Maintain admission/discharge data in Carelogic.
  • Perform rounds to ensure residents are where they are supposed to be during programming hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
