The Lead Barista assists the Starbucks Manager with training and development of staff. Performs duties of all positions within the department. Resolves employee and guest-related problems. Uses proper cash handling and accounting procedures. Acts as a Store Manager when required. Must possess working knowledge of computer terminal and cash register operations.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other Team Members
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work flexible hours, including early AM shifts, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques
Prior cash handling experience

Nice To Haves

Prior Starbucks supervisory/Lead trainer experience preferred
Experience with MICROS POS system or similar point-of-sale platforms a plus
Prior ServeSafe Certification preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills & ability to multi-task
Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred
Familiarity with various coffee beans and blends helpful
