About The Position

This position involves completing opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and locking doors. The role also requires completing closing reports, recording transactions in the MICROS system, managing cash, and resolving discrepancies. The Lead Barista will communicate with guests and employees, ensuring teamwork for optimal service. Additionally, the position assists management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model. Adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and maintaining a professional appearance are essential. The role involves welcoming and assisting guests, anticipating their needs, and providing excellent service. Responsibilities include speaking clearly, answering telephones professionally, developing positive working relationships, and ensuring quality standards are met. The job requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable duties may be requested by supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
  • Complete all closing reports, including MICROS reports.
  • Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order.
  • Obtain change required for expected business level and keep bank secure at all times.
  • Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, and drop off receipts.
  • Transport bank to/from assigned workstation.
  • Resolve any cash overages or shortages as requested by Accounting.
  • Communicate with guests and other employees and ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; and serve as a role model.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
