About The Position

This is an INTERNAL ONLY position. The Lead Barista maintains the regular responsibilities of a barista while also taking on additional leadership duties. This role involves training new hires, developing promotional offers, ensuring operational efficiency, and communicating team and guest needs to leadership. The position is full-time, union-represented, and hourly.

Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, reach, lift, and engage in repetitive tasks with fine motor agility for entire shift.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintaining regular responsibilities of our barista position
Train all new hires and cross-trained team members.
Create and maintain the training plan checklists.
Approve the completion of training and readiness of individuals to work independently.
Develop, alongside leadership, new promotional offers and rollout of specials in the café.
Ensure all team members complete their checklists, cleaning logs, and temp logs; notify leadership when action is needed.
Communicate with leadership both guest and team member needs when they arise, such as complaints, HR resources, equipment needs, etc.
Ensure the café is efficiently stocked with products; ensure req’s are filled out when needed; outline our minimums for daily operations
Assist with the cleaning process of the soft serve machine and ability to perform the task independently when needed.
Ensure all team members receive their breaks in compliance of our policies.
