About The Position

Aspire Bakeries is seeking a Lead Bakery Sanitation – 2nd Shift to join their team at the Ontario, CA facility. This role involves leading, training, and developing sanitation team members to ensure the bakery operates at the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and audit readiness in both allergen and non-allergen environments. The position is for the 2nd shift, with hours from 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM, and requires weekend availability. The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 – $27.00.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and GMPs
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ATP testing and sanitation validation processes
  • Familiarity with audit preparation and environmental cleaning programs
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop hourly teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and coach sanitation team members to consistently meet Aspire Bakeries’ food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ensure sanitation practices support allergen and non-allergen food production with a strong “clean is clean” mindset
  • Oversee daily sanitation operations, staffing coverage, task assignments, and time management
  • Maintain audit-ready conditions at all times, including ATP performance, environmental cleaning, and first-pass quality results
  • Monitor facility cleanliness, equipment readiness, and sanitation supply levels to prevent operational interruptions
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and pride of ownership across the sanitation team
  • Partner with production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams to ensure overall facility cleanliness and readiness
