About The Position

Serve as a subject matter expert in the development of automated assembly, test and packaging systems. Interact directly with assembly and automation equipment suppliers. Specify and/or purchase equipment, assembly tooling, and fixtures for new and existing processes. Lead and guide quoting of automation equipment. Train and mentor members of Automation Teams. Lead the development of URS and equipment specifications and requirements including the qualification of custom/vendor equipment for production use. Serve as a customer and facility virtual and on-site liaison for automation development best practices. Ensure all automation projects are embedded with the receiving site teams for seamless handover.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronix Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of experience analyzing CAD electrical schematics and mechanical models and drawings.
  • Must have 8 years of experience in executing FMEA and EHS technical risk assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Must have 8 years of experience in developing and interpret (for troubleshooting) complex PLC (A/B, Mitsubishi, or similar) and Robotic (FANUC) code.
  • Must have 3 years of experience in developing requirements and system architecture for healthcare and life science assembly automation
  • Must have 3 years of experience in leading cross-functional FDA-compliant automation projects from quote to launch.
  • Must have 3 years of experience in driving continuous improvements, Kaizen events, and CAPA analysis in automation systems.

Nice To Haves

  • In lieu of a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 8 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 6 years of experience as stated or a PhD. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as stated.
  • Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
  • Experience may be acquired prior to completion of degree.
