Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) is seeking a Lead Assembly Technician for the Third Shift to oversee and organize small technician teams in the assembly of the SPARC Tokamak. This role involves the handling, alignment, and mechanical integration of large components such as electromagnetic coils, vacuum vessels, instrumentation, support structures, tooling, diagnostic systems, and superconducting cable bundles. The Lead Technician will manage day-to-day work orders, assign tasks, conduct morning briefs and shift hand-off reports, and guide all assembly activities. Collaboration with engineers, the metrology group, and the quality group is essential to ensure precise component completion and to identify and resolve issues during the build process. This is a unique opportunity to contribute hands-on assembly skills to accelerate fusion energy development.
