Incumbents of this position must be U.S. Citizens. This role is responsible for leading the full spectrum of end-user application, patching, and operating system support for various devices and environments, including PCs, MacBooks, virtual machines, and mobile devices. The position involves patching, image creation, configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and overall support. The Lead Application Deployment Engineer will prioritize assignments, coordinate workload, mentor the team, and communicate effectively. They will oversee and utilize automated deployment and management tools, review security notifications, and execute patch management. The role requires working knowledge of shell scripting languages, understanding of front-end technologies, and performing analysis for new and existing applications. Responsibilities include implementing new applications from design through post-installation, providing technical and user support, documenting installations, and ensuring the rigorous application of Information Security/Information Assurance policies. The position also involves active participation in project planning and taking a leadership role in ensuring the timely and successful completion of projects assigned to the Client Services Engineering team. This position is designated IT-1 (Critical - Sensitive) and requires a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and a Secret Clearance within 6 months of appointment. It is also designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position (Cyber IT/CSWF) in specialty area 45, requiring compliance with DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements, including earning and maintaining appropriate credentials, participating in annual continuous learning, and possessing specific cybersecurity and operating system certifications.
