About The Position

Boeing Global Services is searching for Lead AOG Product Repair/Mod Tech to join the team in Victorville, CA. This position leads the assembly, disassembly, and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement, or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. The role involves configuring aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment, directing troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and overseeing validation/verification testing. Responsibilities also include documenting procedures for compliance, inspecting components, verifying repairs for flight worthiness, and leading/supervising tasks associated with the safe handling of aerospace vehicles. Additionally, the role involves providing training, mentoring, and coaching to employees, working under minimal direction, and adhering to safety and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) protocols.

Requirements

  • 9+ years' experience with aircraft maintenance
  • 3+ years' experience leading an aircraft maintenance team
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes
  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul and coaches when needed
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
  • Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components
  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results)
  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements
  • Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations)
  • Provides training and mentors others
  • Works under minimal direction
  • Coaches and mentors employees before, during, and after the performance of work
  • Must have good people skills in a teaching / coaching environment
  • Must be able to work with minimal oversight and deliver positive results, while adhering to all Safety and FOD Pro’s and Processes
