About The Position

Boeing Global Services is searching for Lead AOG Product Repair/Mod Tech to join the team in Victorville, CA. This role leads the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. The Lead AOG Product Repair/Mod Tech configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment, and directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. This position also oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components, and documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Lead AOG Product Repair/Mod Tech inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements, leads and supervises others in the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle, and provides training and mentors others. The role requires working under minimal direction, with good people skills in a teaching/coaching environment, and the ability to work with minimal oversight while adhering to safety and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention protocols.

Requirements

  • 9+ years' experience with aircraft maintenance
  • 3+ years' experience leading an aircraft maintenance team
  • Must have good people skills in a teaching / coaching environment
  • Must be able to work with minimal oversight and deliver positive results, while adhering to all Safety and FOD Pro’s and Processes
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes
  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul and coaches when needed
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
  • Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components
  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results)
  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements
  • Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations)
  • Provides training and mentors others
  • Works under minimal direction
  • Coaches and mentors employees before, during, and after the performance of work
