About The Position

This role involves providing maintenance oversight at sites without other ATI support, focusing on repairing chronic aircraft issues. The Lead AOG Mechanic will work closely with the reliability department to develop work scopes and alert requests. In locations without other mechanics, this position assumes the duties, responsibilities, and authority of a Maintenance Supervisor. The role requires constant vigilance for defective parts and unsafe working conditions. The AOG Team Member must be prepared to work with various Company hired agents globally to procure maintenance services and support for aircraft repairs. A strong understanding of aircraft maintenance histories and the skill to execute effective maintenance actions are essential. When exercising RII provisions, the AOG Team Member reports directly to the Director of Quality Control. Attendance at all assigned Company training classes is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years, proven line maintenance experience with emphasis in avionics troubleshooting and repair on large aircraft.
  • Ability to travel on moment’s notice and adapt to dynamic work environments.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must successfully complete a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant license (FAR 121.378a)
  • Valid passport, and Driver’s License
  • Demonstrated high level professional integrity and ethical standards.
  • Above average Communication skills

  • Parts 121, 125, 145 experience
  • Heavy transport category aircraft experience
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft office suite

Responsibilities

  • Repair chronic aircraft issues while providing maintenance oversight at sites where no other ATI support exists.
  • Work closely with the reliability department to build chronic work scopes and alert work requests.
  • Assume the duties, responsibilities, and authority of the Maintenance Supervisor at any location where mechanics are not utilized.
  • Remain constantly alert for defective, worn or failed parts as well as unsafe working conditions.
  • Be prepared to work with various Company hired agents at sites throughout the world to procure maintenance services and support, as needed to repair/fix the aircraft.
  • Understand aircraft maintenance histories and possess skill needed to execute effective maintenance actions.
  • Report directly to the Director of Quality Control when exercising RII provisions.
  • Attend all Company training classes as assigned by the AOG Team Supervisor.
