Lead Analyst, Regional Market Insights

The Lead Analyst, Regional Market Insights will report to the Director, Generation and Electrification Forecasting within Corporate Strategy & Market Analytics. This role will serve as a key analytical partner responsible for collecting, synthesizing, and translating regional and country-level energy market intelligence into actionable business insights. The Lead Analyst will connect regional market dynamics to enterprise strategy by monitoring energy market developments, policy evolution, competitive activity, and economic drivers across core markets and priority growth countries. Working closely with strategy, forecasting, commercial, and regional teams, this individual will develop market insights that improve prioritization, support forecasting assumptions, inform investment decisions, and help shape GE Vernova’s long-term strategic direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, energy systems, engineering, business, data analytics, finance, or a related field, from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in energy markets, power markets, market analysis, energy policy, strategy, forecasting, or a related analytical discipline.
- Strong understanding of energy and power market fundamentals, market structures, policy drivers, and regional market dynamics.
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, including experience working with large datasets, market research sources, and complex business information.
- Ability to translate complex market information into clear, actionable business insights for executive and cross-functional audiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations in concise, easy-to-understand terms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.

- Track record of learning and applying AI-powered tools to accelerate research, analysis, and insight generation.
- Advanced degree, including MBA, master’s degree, or PhD, in a relevant field.
- Executive presence with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and align teams around a common view of market opportunities and risks.
Responsibilities
- Collect, maintain, and analyze country and regional energy market data across core and priority growth markets.
- Monitor market dynamics, demand drivers, generation trends, infrastructure needs, and investment activity.
- Support the development and maintenance of country prioritization frameworks, market attractiveness assessments, and regional opportunity views.
- Analyze regional market structures, policy developments, regulatory trends, and country-specific energy transition drivers.
- Monitor competitive dynamics, market requirements, and risks that may affect GE Vernova’s growth and competitiveness.
- Identify emerging opportunities and challenges across priority regions and translate findings into concise business recommendations.
- Maintain market assumptions and input data supporting regional and country-level forecasts.
- Support the forecasting team in calibrating and validating regional and country outlooks.
- Develop quarterly regional market updates and executive-ready insights for senior leadership discussions.
- Apply AI-enabled research and analytics tools to improve data collection, market monitoring, and insight generation.
- Build and maintain relationships with regional teams, country councils, strategy partners, commercial teams, and business stakeholders.
- Deliver clear, data-driven recommendations that support enterprise decision-making and long-term strategic planning.
