About The Position

This role focuses on creating detailed business requirements for IT financial crime capabilities, including business processes, rules, data, and security. The Lead Analyst will support application development teams, translate technical concepts for business and technical audiences, and may lead the development of estimates and implementation plans. The position involves partnering with team members on project schedules, documentation, and potentially acting as a project lead for small to medium projects. Collaboration with User Experience/Design resources for prototyping and applying principles of risk management, issue tracking, and change management are key aspects of the role. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related.
Five (5) years of financial services or related experience.
Five (5) years of financial services or related experience must include: Five (5) years as a business analyst in financial services; Five (5) years in requirements gathering, issue tracking, change management; Four (4) years proficiency data analysis, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Unix, Python; Three (3) years working with AWS cloud; Three (3) years in developing business process documentation, data lineage mapping, and data transformation logic; Three (3) years using wireframing and prototyping tools
Two (2) years of working with Know Your Client (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (CDD) processes.
Experience must also include: Supporting vendor-based software implementations for AML such as Mantas (OFSAAFCCM) or NICE Actimize or Hummingbird.

Responsibilities

Creates detailed business requirements for functional (e.g., business processes, rules) and nonfunctional (e.g., data, security) capabilities.
Validates test cases to ensure that scripts will evaluate the business function being performed.
Gathers and interprets information from multiple sources (including databases, interviews, etc.) and makes recommendations.
Provides support for application development teams including documenting business processes.
Translates technical concepts to business audience and business information to a technical audience.
May take a lead role in developing estimates and implementation plans for technical solutions.
Partners with team members to develop project schedules, reports and documentation.
May be required to act as project lead on small to medium projects and/or provide direction to others on the team.
Works with User Experience / Design resources to help visualize requirements into prototype.
Understands and applies principles in risk management, issue tracking and change management.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
