Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some college or specialized training in a related field
• Two years of relevant experience
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office products
• Must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Reading, interpreting and summarizing crime data
• Studying data and linking common factors to identify patterns and anomalies
• Preparing charts, graphs, maps and other reports for use in comparison, analysis and forecasting
• Providing assistance in determining police coverage needs
• Conducting background research on possible suspects, addresses and vehicles
• Responding to requests for information from law enforcement personnel
