About The Position

The Lead Ambassador will act as a project manager of the ESC and DSS Ambassadors and assist the Educational Success Center and Disability Support Services with its general function and operations. General responsibilities include but are not limited to delegating assigned projects and tasks, supporting new first-year students through mentoring, maintenance of Navigate usage, assistance in managing the tutoring programs, and outreach and marketing of the services of the Educational Success Center and Disability Support Services.

Requirements

  • Be in good academic standing
  • Current ESC or DSS Ambassador in the Educational Success Center

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience using Canva or other design space
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 products, including Excel and Word

Responsibilities

  • Mentor a cohort of new incoming students of up to 50 students through established program Mentor Collective at a minimum of four times per semester
  • Complete training to take on responsibilities of both DSS and ESC Ambassador
  • Delegate projects and assign timelines
  • Monitor progress on projects
  • Participation in the Tutor Leadership Cohort
  • Assist with projects of the Educational Success Center
  • File paperwork
  • Utilize Navigate to maintain and report on appointments, track student time, maintenance of the student app, and monitor appointment data as assigned.
  • Develop signage and marketing material using Canva, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, or other preferred tool
  • Assist with responding to inquiries and triaging students the Educational Success Center receives via physical drop-ins, email, or phone call
  • Maintain data for tutoring programs
  • Participate in trainings and other staff meetings as assigned
  • Assist with projects and operations of EAB Navigate
  • Other duties as assigned
