About The Position
ATI is seeking a Lead Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic to perform overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment, and associated components. This role involves leading and guiding assigned mechanics, ensuring adherence to company and manufacturer manuals, policies, and procedures. The Lead Mechanic is responsible for identifying defective parts, maintaining a safe working environment, and overseeing station requirements like housekeeping and property maintenance. They will also perform all tasks assigned by supervisors and report directly to the Director of Quality Control when exercising RII provisions. Attendance at all assigned company training classes is mandatory.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must complete a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check.
- Experience with 757/767 aircraft.
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to comply with ATI attendance requirements.
- Airframe and Powerplant license (FAR 121.378a).
- Shall have a valid passport or the ability to get one.
Nice To Haves
- Parts 121, 125, 145; Heavy transport category aircraft experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment and associated components in accordance with Company manuals, manufacturer’s manuals, including policies, procedures, Bulletins and Orders.
- Monitor and provide guidance for tasks and company processes/procedures, sign for work accomplished and Buy Back for those assigned to Lead.
- Constantly alert for defective, worn or failed parts as well as safe working condition.
- Monitor station requirements such as housekeeping duties and ensuring those assigned are policing their work area or repair and maintenance of company property.
- Perform all tasks assigned by the Supervisor or higher management.
- When exercising authority under RII provisions, be directly responsible to the Director of Quality Control.
- Attend all Company training classes as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
