About The Position

Performing and leading a team of mechanics and flight test technicians throughout day-to-day operations of aircraft flight test and delivery. Coordinating priorities and tasking technicians for aircraft operational support and maintenance on the Flightline as defined by Management to meet the flight test and delivery schedule. Ensuring technicians have the tools, data, and support required to perform their functions in accordance with published schedule. Supporting and performing training to ensure optimum performance in job procedures and methods. Monitor training requirements and ensure completeness of employees’ training records. Performing detailed assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components. Conducting and training technicians how to perform operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems to include ground and flight test operations such as engine adjustment and track and balance procedures. Troubleshooting of complex avionics equipment to include Helionix, Radios, Hydraulics, STC equipment and Fuel Systems.

Requirements

  • 5 years in any job title involving experience as a helicopter technician focusing on the installation, testing and troubleshooting of components and subsystems in a helicopter flightline environment.
  • Prior experience must include: 2 years of experience as a Senior Technician at a Part 21 or Part 145 certificated Helicopter OEM;
  • Experience with flightline aircraft avionics including advance troubleshooting and testing utilizing IFR 4000, TC200 and data management tools for CVFDR systems;
  • Experience in helicopter maintenance, including preservation, engine wash procedures, assembly, and disassembly;
  • Experience with helicopter Rotor Track and Balance;
  • Experience performing functional and maintenance test flights and working directly with flight crews to resolve issues identified during testing;
  • Experience with techniques and tools used in aircraft vibration analysis and aircraft operational testing;
  • Performing maintenance and applying principles of operation, technical requirements, and systems required on helicopter airframes;
  • Experience performing offsite maintenance and acceptance criteria inspections;
  • Experience in a helicopter delivery environment.
  • Applicable aviation certification, such as an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A+P) license or foreign equivalent.
  • Up to 10% domestic and international travel required for aircraft and subsystem training courses.
