About The Position

The Electrical Aircraft Technician will perform maintenance and modifications on assigned aircraft using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and other test support equipment. Operationally checks all systems, sub-systems, and associated line replaceable unit (LRU) removal and installation. Interprets and advises on maintenance procedures and policies to repair aircraft and related equipment.

Minimum of five (5) years total electrical experience in Fighter/Attack/Bomber (preferably F-16) aircraft maintenance as an electrician.
Experience working with aircraft wiring, technicians will be installing Avionics system modifications by routing, terminating 10/100 and Gig Ethernet wiring, copper wires, primary power wires, Coaxial wires , shielded twisted pairs/triplets, and possibly triaxial wires/connectors.
Must have ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government.
Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft electrical systems, components, and associated support equipment.
Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance.
Interprets the meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
Properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.
