About The Position

The Lead, AI Workforce Strategy & Transformation is a pivotal enterprise transformation role at the intersection of Human Resources, workforce transformation, and enterprise AI adoption. Reporting to VP of Human Resources and serving as a key partner to the Chief AI Officer, this individual is responsible for helping the organization navigate the workforce, workflow, and organizational implications of AI adoption across the enterprise. Working in close partnership with HRBPs, HR Centers of Excellence, and business leadership teams, the Lead will help shape how AI transforms work across functions including R&D, engineering, manufacturing, commercial, corporate operations, and HR. This role will serve as an internal consultant and strategic advisor to the business, partnering with leaders to redesign workflows, improve enterprise AI fluency, evolve workforce strategies, and embed AI-enabled ways of working into the organization. The role will work across both enterprise functions and HR, helping leaders identify opportunities to redesign work, improve productivity, and integrate AI-enabled ways of working into business and people processes. The Lead will help ensure the people strategy is both a driver and an enabler of the enterprise's AI ambitions.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in workforce strategy, organizational transformation, HR, consulting, enterprise transformation, or related leadership roles within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders to drive workforce transformation, organizational effectiveness, workflow redesign, or operating model evolution.
  • Experience partnering with senior business leaders in an HR Business Partner, consulting, transformation, organizational effectiveness, workforce strategy, or client-facing advisory capacity, with a strong understanding of how business priorities shape workforce and organizational strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale organizational change, workforce transformation, or enterprise enablement initiatives across complex environments.
  • Strong AI fluency and understanding of the implications of AI on workflows, workforce capabilities, productivity, organizational effectiveness, and the future of work — including familiarity with applied AI tools, automation, generative AI platforms, and emerging AI agent solutions.
  • Proven ability to operate as a strategic advisor to senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, organizational design, change leadership, capability transformation, and evolving workforce models.
  • Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, consulting, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to translate emerging AI capabilities into practical business, workforce, and organizational outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead enterprise AI workforce transformation strategies aligned with the enterprise AI roadmap and long-term business objectives.
  • Partner with the Chief AI Officer and business leaders to assess workforce, workflow, and organizational implications of AI initiatives, including role redesign, capability shifts, talent pipeline development, organizational structure considerations, and emerging AI agent solutions.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs to integrate AI workforce insights into business unit planning cycles, ensuring transformation efforts are grounded in business priorities and operational realities.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities to redesign workflows, improve productivity, and integrate AI-enabled ways of working across functions including R&D, engineering, manufacturing, commercial, corporate operations, and HR.
  • Conduct ongoing workforce impact assessments to identify opportunities for AI-enabled productivity, workflow optimization, role evolution, and workforce capability transformation.
  • Partner with workforce planning, total rewards, and HR Centers of Excellence to assess workforce, capability, and organizational implications associated with AI-enabled transformation.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure organization-wide implications of AI are addressed, including future capability needs, workforce shifts, organizational effectiveness, and upskilling priorities.
  • Design and scale an enterprise-wide AI literacy, fluency, and capability-building framework, ranging from foundational AI education to role-specific enablement programs.
  • Partner with Learning & Development and business leaders to embed AI capability development into career pathways, leadership expectations, and workforce planning efforts.
  • Partner with Talent Management and L&D on change management efforts that cultivate responsible AI adoption, psychological safety, continuous learning, and workforce engagement.
  • Develop communication and enablement strategies that demystify AI and help leaders and employees understand the practical implications of AI on workflows, productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a visible advocate and educator for enterprise AI enablement and workforce readiness.
  • Champion the integration of AI tools, automation, and AI-enabled workflows within HR processes, including talent acquisition, onboarding, learning, performance management, workforce planning, and workforce analytics.
  • Partner with HR Operations and the broader HR Leadership Team to evolve an AI-enabled HR operating model that improves employee experience, operational efficiency, service delivery, and decision-making quality.
  • Position HR as a leading example of AI-enabled transformation by identifying opportunities to redesign work, simplify processes, and improve organizational effectiveness through AI adoption.
  • Establish governance frameworks for responsible AI use within HR, ensuring fairness, compliance, transparency, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement HR technology solutions that leverage AI, in partnership with HRIS, Digital, and Technology teams.
  • Help build AI fluency and adoption capabilities across HR teams and HR Business Partner organizations.
  • Serve as the strategic HR and workforce transformation voice on enterprise AI governance bodies and cross-functional AI working groups.
  • Advise senior and executive leaders on workforce, workflow, and organizational implications of AI initiatives, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Build strong partnerships across HR, IT, Digital, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Commercial, and Corporate Functions to support enterprise AI adoption and transformation.
  • Influence leaders through practical transformation guidance, organizational consulting, and AI-enabled workforce strategies.
  • Represent the organization externally on AI workforce transformation, AI enablement, and emerging workforce trends through industry forums, partnerships, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Co-define and partner with Centers of Excellence to track KPIs for AI workforce transformation, including AI adoption rates, skill development metrics, workforce readiness scores, workflow transformation outcomes, productivity improvements, and HR process efficiency gains.
  • Develop reporting and insights that help leaders understand the workforce, organizational, and business impact of enterprise AI initiatives.
  • Produce regular executive-level reporting on the progress, adoption, and impact of AI workforce transformation initiatives.
