Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN-CNP in the State of Ohio required
  • Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing or Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Works with departmental, divisional and APP leadership and will function as a liaison, mentoring, continued education, and on-boarding roles for other advanced practice providers.
  • Administrative and reporting responsibilities as per division.
  • Interacts with the division workforce at large on issues related to advanced practice providers.
  • Assigns responsibility for mentoring advanced practice providers and is designated expert for advance practice in the division.
  • Provides clinical leadership and mentoring in matters relating to advanced practice and the professional development of APRNs or PAs for serving as the liaison between the APRN/PAs and upper level advanced practice management (Manager and Director).
  • Responsible for providing health care services to patients within the parameters of a standard care agreement with an attending physician member of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
  • Collaborates with a physician (s) & other clinicians in providing a full scope of patient care.
  • Focus is on preventive health or the management of stable chronic conditions.
  • Performs medical services that have been specifically authorized & directed by the credentialing and the collaborative physician.
