About The Position

The Lead Administrator is responsible for Linux administration in complex environments, including operating system upgrades across virtual machines and physical systems and a variety of firmware upgrade procedures. The role involves installing and configuring operating systems, working with OS compliance tools, configuring and troubleshooting HBA and NIC load balancing, and supporting cluster technologies. The administrator also develops and maintains Ansible automation for provisioning, configuration, patch management, compliance enforcement, user management, package installation, and system hardening. The role requires knowledge of DevOps tools and preparation of root cause analyses (RCAs).

Requirements

5–8 years of experience.
Linux administration experience.
Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and Perl scripting.
Exposure to RAC cluster prerequisite setup.
L3-level knowledge of VCS clustering.
Knowledge of VXVM and VCS service groups.
Knowledge of DevOps tools.
Ability to configure and troubleshoot HBA and NIC load balancing.
Knowledge of OS compliance tools and their setup.
Experience with Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and variables.

Responsibilities

Perform operating system upgrades in complex virtual and physical environments and carry out firmware upgrade procedures.
Set up and work with OS compliance tools.
Configure and troubleshoot HBA and NIC load balancing.
Install and configure operating systems.
Develop and maintain Ansible automation for OS provisioning and configuration, patch management and compliance enforcement, user management, package installation, and system hardening.
Create and manage Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and variables.
Integrate Ansible with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines where applicable.
Prepare root cause analyses (RCAs).
Support RAC cluster prerequisite setup and VCS cluster and VXVM/VCS service group administration.
