About The Position

This individual will serve in a lead role to create strategy, design, and implementation of ambulatory capacity improvement initiatives across the clinical enterprise. This role will translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans that account for technical and workflow changes to deliver results. The Lead will be a subject matter expert in all things Capacity Access related and will participate in national forum to advance the discipline. The Lead collaborates with clinical, IT, and operational management and supervisors to implement access improvement initiatives, while leveraging data to drive project success. Maintains a goal-oriented climate of cross-team collaboration for effective problem-solving, conflict resolution, support for organizational values and standard work. Works to encourage strategic thinking amongst team and provides education and coaching during projects and implementation.

Requirements

  • 5 years experience to include the majority of the following: serve as a technical or operational expert for a group of employees, analyzing data to solve problems, provide guidance to and/or assist staff on non-routine or escalated issues required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related healthcare or business area required. In lieu of degree, an additional 4 years of experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong computer and electronic health record knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of Epic Template Management and Cadence configuration.
  • Previous experience in physician group practice and ancillary scheduling workflows.
  • Previous experience in information technology, logistics or business process flow.
  • Project management experience within an academic medical center environment.
  • Epic Cadence proficiency/certification is preferred.
