About The Position

This position runs 10 to 14 days out and averages 10,000 to 12,000 miles per month. The role involves running LCV open board and Canada/US long-haul when LCV is not available. Southbound freight could depart into any of the lower 48 states. Resets are done on the road as required. The position requires 24 days on the road per month, with potential for scheduled runs for up to 4 weeks as operationally needed. Regional freight will also be required. This role offers a flexible schedule, with all shifts including working Saturday and Sunday. A Turnpike pay-package applies.

Requirements

• Experienced Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor trailer experience
• Valid Class 1/AZ license
• Bunk Truck will be required
• Eligible to drive in the U.S.
• Minimum of 6-months verifiable LCV experience including operating during winter conditions
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse

Nice To Haves

• BC Mountain experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Run LCV open board and Canada/US long-haul
• Haul freight into any of the lower 48 states
• Perform resets on the road as required
• Cover scheduled runs as operationally needed for a period of time up to 4 weeks
• Handle regional freight
• Work flexible shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays
• Haul all commodities including meat and alcohol
• Drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months a year
• Drive U.S. Mountains 12 months a year
