About The Position

The Department of Military Affairs is seeking an LCA Staff Training Coordinator for Lincoln's Challenge Academy. This is a Personal Service Contract Posting. The role involves coordinating and facilitating new hire orientation, managing staff training through an online learning management system, maintaining training files, scheduling training, and providing supplemental training. The coordinator will also administer the formulation and implementation of staff training programs, develop training plans, evaluate staff performance to identify training needs, and design and deliver comprehensive training programs focused on at-risk youth needs, including de-escalation tactics and crisis intervention. Additionally, the position requires providing feedback on behavior management strategies.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two years college and one year administrative experience.
  • Requires the ability to pass a DoD background investigation.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license in the appropriate classification as required by law.
  • Required to work a flex work schedule including weekends and evenings when necessary to meet agency needs.
  • This position is considered light work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(b)). Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • This job may require a good deal of walking or standing or involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.

  • Evaluate staff performance to determine specific gaps and training needs.
  • Coordinates time and place for all staff training.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs focused on at-risk youth needs, including de-escalation tactics and crisis intervention.
  • Provide feedback on behavior management strategies.
