About The Position

We are a small, artisan tile company dedicated to making high-quality, handcrafted tile. Every piece we produce is made by hand, and we take pride in our craftsmanship, attention to detail, and collaborative team environment. We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented team member to join our Layout Department. In this role, you’ll help prepare our handmade tiles for glazing by inspecting, refining, and organizing each piece. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in producing quality work.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Dependable and able to stay focused on repetitive tasks
• Comfortable with physical work (standing, lifting, moving materials)
• Comfortable wearing daily PPE such as face masks, safety glasses, gloves.
• Team player with a positive attitude
• No prior experience required—training provided

Nice To Haves

• experience with ceramics or manufacturing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Inspect unfired tiles (greenware) to ensure they meet quality standards
• Sand tiles to achieve smooth, precise finishes
• Carefully arrange tiles for the glazing process
• Maintain kiln setters and assist with loading/unloading kiln shelves
• Pitch in with general production tasks to support the team
