About The Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an entry-level Lawyer to join the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) within Monash University, supporting the Data Privacy and Protection Office (DPPO) function. This is an ideal role for a recently admitted or early-career legal professional seeking to build a meaningful career in a dynamic, complex and fast paced University environment. You will gain hands-on experience across diverse areas of legal practice while developing a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape applicable to international higher education institutions and the research sector. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and to support the development of policies and processes relating to the safety of personal information, health information, and data handling. Your ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be central to your success, enabling you to provide practical support and contribute to efficient, high-quality legal outcomes across the organisation.
