About The Position

Yardsy is a rapidly expanding outdoor services company focused on lawn care and turf management for both residential and commercial clients across Metro Atlanta. We are establishing a new operation in the Roswell area and are seeking individuals to join our team. This role offers the chance to train with experienced technicians at our Smyrna branch before transitioning to the Roswell branch as operations grow. We are looking for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, take pride in their quality of work, and wish to develop their careers within a people-focused company. This position is multifaceted, involving hands-on turf care, customer interaction, route management, and team support. Successful candidates will have pathways for advancement into senior technician and leadership roles as Yardsy continues its expansion. Initially, this position will report to and train at our Smyrna location, with a subsequent transition to reporting from the Roswell branch once it is established.

Requirements

  • Previous lawn care, turf management, landscaping, or spray technician experience preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify problems and proactively find solutions.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Must pass background screening and employment verification requirements.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have access to a cell phone.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned daily routes applying fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other turf care products on residential and commercial properties.
  • Operate spray equipment and fertilizer spreaders safely and effectively.
  • Monitor turf health and identify signs of disease, insect pressure, weed infestation, or environmental stress.
  • Communicate findings and treatment recommendations to supervisors.
  • Assist with tank mixing, vehicle inspections, calibrations, route management, and record keeping.
  • Support branch operations including aerations, tree & shrub treatments, topdressing, and seasonal services.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
  • Ensure all applications are performed according to company standards and applicable regulations.
  • Serve as a positive representative of Yardsy with customers and team members.
  • Assist with training and supporting other technicians as experience and leadership abilities grow.
