About The Position

The Lawn Technician position is to perform service calls, initial services, and fill in for Lawn Specialist routes when they are out. They may also provide overflow coverage of recurring services as deemed necessary by management. These technicians’ days can vary by service area and location daily and require flexible scheduling day by day. Duties include: Complete the application of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides on a preset daily route Identify lawn and or pest problems and develop solutions to those problems Calculate basic mathematic equations Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers, both internal and external Safely drive a company vehicle Use of handheld computerized equipment to manage service calls and documents Provide customers with general information about our various services Conduct service calls as needed Problem solving and/or complaint resolution Perform other duties assigned ‘ Operate and maintain company vehicle in a safe and respectful manner. Take an individual interest in the overall success, well-being, and improvement of Turner Pest Control.

Requirements

Must enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Must enjoy hands on work
Ability to safely drive a large, heavy lawn truck
No fear of bugs, snakes, rodents, etc.
Able to withstand long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, squatting
Be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs
Be able to withstand long periods of squatting, standing, walking; including ability to balance, kneel, and/our crouch on uneven surfaces
Have excellent communication skills
Be competent with the use of new technology
Be organized and able to manage their own daily route
At least 21 years of age
Have a valid Florida driver's license with minimal moving violations
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to work independently, manage route-based work, and provide exceptional customer service
