Merrillville - Lawn Care Technician / Specialist
About The Position
Naturescape of Merrillville, IN is seeking to hire a Lawn Care Specialist to provide our customers with outstanding services for their residential and commercial properties. This role offers a career in lawn and landscape care with a stable, family-owned business, where you can be a valued and respected member of a close-knit team. The position involves independent work in the great outdoors, with flexible scheduling options for full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees. You will be the face of the company in the field, managing a route and transforming landscapes. Your "office" changes daily as you navigate to residential and commercial properties to complete precision lawn care, lawn aeration, mowing, tree/shrub care and pruning, and mosquito control. You will take pride in enhancing a customer's property and their pride in it. You will act as a consultant and problem-solver, assessing lawn health and landscape needs, building rapport with customers, and clearly communicating solutions. Adaptability is key, as you will pivot to snow removal in the winter to ensure customers stay safe and mobile. This is a licensed specialist position requiring state pesticide certifications. The company emphasizes continuous learning and development, expecting employees to be eager to learn and grow their skills.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Motivated with a desire to learn
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a general laborer, construction worker, landscaper, groundskeeper, or lawn mower
- Willingness to relocate (for management opportunities)
Responsibilities
