Supervises day-to-day operations of the assigned Division, including assigning cases to investigators; assists in training of personnel; assists in examination and interview process for Law Enforcement Division personnel; assists in timely presentation of criminal cases to District Attorney’s Office and timely completion of division reports, civil service, and other law enforcement-related reports. This position is also responsible as a supervisor role in Law Enforcement to assigned divisions as well as filling in when needed for other Lieutenants and Divisions. Preserves the peace within Lubbock County by use of all lawful means and shall, when authorized by law, interfere to prevent or suppress crime. Sworn to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and of the State of Texas.
