This is a sworn career service position located within the Bureau of Law Enforcement, West Palm Beach District Office. The Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco licenses the manufacture, distribution, sale, and service of alcoholic beverage and tobacco products in Florida. The Division’s three bureaus – Licensing, Auditing and Law Enforcement – comprise a team of approximately 325 personnel fulfilling the regulatory obligations of the Division throughout the state. This position serves as a highly professional and complex law enforcement managerial and supervisory position in our West Palm Beach field office, managing the Margate (Ft. Lauderdale), West Palm Beach, and Ft. Pierce offices. Employees demonstrating advanced investigative and critical thinking skills normally excel within this Bureau. The incumbent will perform responsibilities of personnel development, training, and guidance oriented toward organizational objectives; to include, being able to identify organizational values, goals and objectives, monitor and encourage optimal organizational performance, establish long term plans and manage work of the assigned District Office for the success of the division’s overall mission. In addition, this position will train law enforcement Lieutenants, investigators, and administrative support personnel in job related subjects.
