As a Law Enforcement Airport Security Officer: Full Time Armed Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming experience for travelers and staff. Requirements

2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
Valid Driver's License
Law Enforcement Officer License
22+ years of age
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs: 1. Certified State law enforcement recruit training. 2. Certified County law enforcement recruit training. 3. Federal law enforcement training. 4. Programs approved by the Director.
No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931 F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions.
Must be able to supervise Contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.
Mentally and emotionally capable of performing all duties required for their assigned Post/duties.
In good physical health and be fully capable of performing normal orкаў emergency duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion such as standing, walking patrolling for an entire shift(s), climbing stairs, running and self-defense.
Ability to perform essential physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (e.g., fire extinguisher) for a designated distance. Assisting in the safe evacuation of individuals, including carrying a small child or providing support to persons with limited mobility.
Subject to a random drug screen.
Must be able to exercise physical force, if required, in the execution of their official duties.
Be able to successfully pass a security background check conducted by the DOTA pass and ID office.
Well-groomed and neat in appearance as officially commissioned representatives of the State.
Pass and complete a one-time physical examination within the past 6 months.
Pass a 12-panel drug test and pass all future random drug testing.
Correctable, vision to 20/30 each eye with normal color vision.
Able to hear at a normal conversational level. A hearing aid may be used to.
Have at least 2 years of Law Enforcement, Military Police, or Corrections experience.
Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Courtesy in inter-person relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
LEOs may be required to provide a court appearance for citations that are issued on behalf of DOTA. Contractor shall provide replacement staffing for LEOs that are required to attend a court proceeding.
Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, roadways, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the airport property.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized activity or suspicious conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies; complete accurate incident reports and activity logs.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
