You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to travelers, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Law Enforcement Officer License
  • 22+ years of age
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and/or tenants while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of terminal areas, roadways, parking facilities, perimeter locations, and other assigned airport property to help identify and report unusual activity or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points, restricted areas, and security-related equipment; verify credentials and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate airport personnel and public agencies as directed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with supervisors, clients, and responding personnel.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
