Key responsibilities include assisting with criminal prosecutions and county department representation, conducting legal research, and drafting motions, briefs, and memoranda. The position involves reviewing evidence such as police reports and body-worn camera footage to identify legal issues and support trial strategy. Additionally, under student practice rules, the individual may appear in court for arraignments and hearings, manage discovery deadlines, and assist with appellate briefs, witness interviews, and victim consultations.
