The Attorney I is responsible for assisting county judges by drafting orders and opinions, researching legal issues, and performing legal and administrative support services/case management. This role involves attending various court proceedings, preparing jury charges, researching legal matters, and providing procedural advice to attorneys. The position also supports judges during conferences, reviews court files, prepares memoranda, and coordinates with attorneys and court offices. Additionally, the role assists with Family Court filings, provides support to different court divisions, maintains legal resources, and assists in the preparation of local rules. The Law Clerk also serves as a liaison, discusses case management, provides statistical reports, and supervises law student interns. They offer legal counsel to court administration and advise judges of legal changes. Other duties, tasks, and special projects may be assigned.
