About The Position

The Law Offices of Anna R. Yum is an elite, fast-paced, and highly respected law firm specializing in high-stakes criminal defense and civil litigation. We are currently seeking a driven and ambitious Law Clerk eager to gain unparalleled real-world legal experience that law school simply cannot provide. This is not your typical law clerk role. At our firm, you will play an integral role in the defense of clients facing life-altering charges, including murder, sexual assault, and other serious felonies. You will be part of a dynamic team that handles cases from intake to trial, giving you comprehensive exposure to the entire litigation process under the mentorship of a seasoned attorney.

• Hands-On Trial Experience: Work side-by-side with attorneys preparing for major felony trials, preliminary hearings, law and motion work, assisting in crafting the opening and closing arguments, assembling evidence, and shaping trial strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed legal research on complex issues and present findings to the legal team.
• Assist with the drafting of pleadings, motions, and trial materials.
• Help organize and prepare exhibits, body-worn camera footage, witness statement summaries, and case briefs.
• Manage legal files and track case developments using case management software.
• Attend hearings and client meetings alongside attorneys.
• Support attorneys in trial preparation, gaining insight into high-stakes litigation.
• Perform general administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth case progression.
