About The Position

Provide support to the Information Security and Technology Compliance team by conducting legal and regulatory research, reviewing and preparing governance-related documents, and completing other tasks as assigned. Research includes federal and state laws and regulations governing national and state banks, financial holding companies, and information security and technology compliance requirements. Document review and preparation includes security policies and standards, regulatory guidance summaries, risk assessment documentation, contract reviews, third party security reviews, and incident response.

Requirements

Completion of one (1) year (or in second semester) and current student of an accredited law school
Regular and predictable attendance
Professional demeanor; ability to maintain confidences and handle sensitive information with discretion
Ability to work individually (self-motivated) and as a team member
Capable of interacting with varying audiences including legal, compliance, technology, and business stakeholders
Knowledge of research platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and aptitude to quickly learn other applications as needed
Unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Conduct research and draft memoranda on topics related to information security and technology governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management within the financial services industry
Research and monitor federal and state laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance impacting information security and technology operations, including requirements from OCC, FFIEC, GLBA, PCI-DSS, and emerging AI regulations
Review and interpret contracts, laws, regulations, and other guidance relating to information security and technology
Assist with development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and governance documentation
Support preparation of governance reporting materials including regulatory landscape summaries and risk reporting
Provide general support to the Technology Compliance team across compliance research and risk management activities
Other duties as assigned
Involves sitting, typing and use of a computer for extended periods of time
