About The Position
Hupy and Abraham S.C., an AV-rated personal injury law firm, is seeking a motivated Law Clerk for its Madison, Wisconsin office. This opportunity is suited to a recent Juris Doctor graduate seeking additional experience. Law Clerks support litigation attorneys with legal document production, legal research, and screening new client calls. The firm has 11 offices across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa and represents accident victims.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree.
- Eligible to take, in the process of taking, or licensed by the Wisconsin State Bar exam.
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills.
- Innovative problem resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Draft summonses, complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings.
- Conduct legal research.
- Write briefs.
- Screen potential clients.
- Assist with trial preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a litigation attorney.
