The Law Clerk works closely with attorneys and other staff and reports directly to the Operations Manager. Work hours are flexible and revised each semester to accommodate students’ class schedules. The role involves legal research, document drafting, case strategy support, client and industry familiarization, and tracking billable time. Duties may be added or modified by the Operations Manager according to the Firm’s business needs, and the clerk may be asked to cover duties assigned to others when necessary. The position requires regular computer-based and sedentary work, the ability to lift and move documentation, reliable attendance, and the ability to meet deadlines. The clerk must be able to manage multiple complex problems, multitask accurately, sustain attention, communicate professionally, and remain poised in stressful or conflict situations.
