About The Position

The Law Clerk II works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Manager performing complex legal research, preparing draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and memoranda of law, reviewing documents for relevance and privilege, and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation. This role may involve acting as a primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff, and may involve acting independently and/or as a team leader on larger projects.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• At least two years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects or task order related projects
• Proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys
• Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
• Hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging
• Hands-on familiarity with ESI tools
• Knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources
• At least 2 years of Relativity document review experience
• Legal writing experience
• Some legal research experience
