About The Position

This position involves working on complex water law cases, performing research and analysis to address legal and historic questions. The Law Clerk will draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda for numerous state and federal courts. A key responsibility includes using Relativity for document review to determine relevance and privilege. The role also provides comprehensive trial support and assists attorneys across all phases of litigation. The individual will interface directly with trial attorneys, experts, and clients, and must be capable of working both independently and as part of a team on large projects.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT (Moderate Risk Public Trust) facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Requires Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least two (2) years of study or, an equivalent level of seven (7) years legal training or experience ; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects or task order related projects including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
  • Requires sound working knowledge of legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
