Requirements

  • JD required. Required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Demonstrated experience with human rights issues, including working for or with various international institutions such as the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights or the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
  • Attach updated curriculum vitae, cover letter, and Mission Alignment Statement to the faculty application.
  • Relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent or on-going connection to international human rights institutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and supervise students in tasks such as reviewing petitions for relief.
  • Recommend disposition on reviewed cases.
  • Write briefs or memos in support of current cases before Human Rights bodies or tribunals.
  • Conduct general research and writing on human rights issues.
