Requirements

• JD required, completed by the start date.
• Must be an active member of the Utah Bar.
• Knowledge of the topic (FDA Law and Policy).
• Significant teaching experience.
• Must attach updated curriculum vitae, cover letter, and Mission Alignment Statement to the faculty application.
• Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Teach a course on FDA Law and Policy, covering its history, legal and policy framework, and regulation of pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, HCT/Ps, foods and dietary supplements, cosmetics, animal products, and tobacco.
• Cover FDA topics such as product premarket approval pathways, postmarket compliance, human clinical trials, importation of FDA regulated products, and FDA's enforcement under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and related FDA regulations.
• Spend time outside of class to address questions related to the class.
• Determine time taught based on applicant's schedule.
