About The Position

United Ground Express is seeking a Part-Time Lavatory & Water Agent to drive and operate a lavatory truck to service aircraft lavatories. This role involves using specialized equipment to safely empty, flush, and fill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements. The agent will also be responsible for completing daily equipment checks, including security searches, and adhering to universal precaution control procedures for hazardous waste. This position requires the ability to operate a computer/tablet for data entry and retrieval, and to communicate effectively using radio equipment. The role also involves directing lift truck movement and positioning within the airport environment.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED or preferred
Minimum of 18 years old
Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data
Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment
Must be able to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
Ability to lift up to 70lbs on a consistent basis
Ability to pass all pre-screening clearances applicable to position qualifications.

Responsibilities

Drive and operate a lavatory truck to service aircraft lavatories
Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to safely empty, flush, and fill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements
Complete Daily Equipment Checks and associated checklists, including security searches
Use personal protective equipment, including a face shield & hearing protection
Direct lift truck movement and positioning in the airport
Comprehend and execute defined safe universal precaution control procedures concerning handling blood borne pathogens and other hazardous waste.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
