About The Position

The Deicer plays a critical role in maintaining safe aircraft operations during winter weather conditions. This position is responsible for inspecting aircraft for frozen contamination, performing de/anti-icing procedures using glycol-based fluids, and ensuring all deicing activities are completed safely and in accordance with airline, IDS, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Intermediate computer skills.
Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English.
Ability to communicate clearly and provide verbal direction in English.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Successful completion of all IDS classroom and on-the-job de/anti-icing training requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees and client representatives.
Ability to speak and hear effectively in a safety-sensitive work environment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all security clearances required by Transport Canada, TSA, and/or local airport authorities.
Must successfully pass all required pre-employment background screenings.

No travel is anticipated for this role.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Perform aircraft de/anti-icing operations in accordance with airline, IDS, and safety procedures.
Inspect aircraft before and after deicing to identify and confirm removal of frozen contamination.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all company policies and operational procedures.
Participate in pre-event planning activities, including equipment inspections and operational readiness checks.
Service and prepare deicing equipment, including fueling vehicles and replenishing glycol supplies as required.
Complete required operational paperwork, records, and logbook documentation accurately and on time.
Report maintenance concerns promptly and ensure all equipment issues are documented and communicated to maintenance personnel.
Follow all equipment shutdown and pad closure procedures at the conclusion of operations.
