About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker to maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. The role involves processing laundry, operating equipment, following infection-control practices, maintaining activity records, and providing positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. The position requires the ability to perform routine tasks and meet the stated physical demands, including working around cleaning products. Starting pay is USD $15.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Be able to work around cleaning products.
- Follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
