About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Laundry Worker to maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. The role contributes to a sanitary, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and guests. The worker handles laundry from collection through distribution, operates laundry equipment, maintains activity records, and follows infection control and universal precautions. The position also requires positive communication with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership, and the ability to work around cleaning products and perform routine, repetitive tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Work around cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
