About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker to help maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. The role involves handling laundry from collection through distribution, operating equipment safely, and following infection-control and universal-precaution policies. The Laundry Worker also provides positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests and reports maintenance or safety issues to a supervisor. The position is on call for AM shifts, and residency within the service area is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Work around cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
