About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker to help maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. The role involves handling laundry from collection through distribution, operating laundry equipment, maintaining activity records, and following infection-control and safety procedures. The Laundry Worker also interacts with residents, staff, and guests and contributes to a clean, welcoming environment. The listed schedule is part-time, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The starting pay rate is $12.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work around cleaning products.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection-control and universal-precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests while providing excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
